The Noël Foundation was founded in 1989 in Hawaii as a faith-based inclusive international, educational, charitable organization. Our Founder Noël Irwin Hentschel was inspired by Mother Teresa after being touched by her at the Young Presidents Organization University in India.

Over the years we have assisted sustainable development globally. The impact of September 11 and subsequent disturbing events influenced the direction of The Noël Foundation to place greater emphasis on our youth. We recognize the need for inspiring next generations to work for "peace and good." We launch this 2015 website telling our history and offering new ways we can work together for a better world.

Our mission is to support corporal and spiritual works. We answer the call of Jesus to help "the least amongst our brethren" and to teach children virtues and Gospel values. We help the most vulnerable in society: unwanted babies, elderly, mentally ill, runaway teenagers, refugees, victims of human trafficking. All of these "least amongst us" are targets for "predators for profit." We provide vocational training for women and youth. Honoring God’s Will, we defend and promote life. We support adoption or assist with keeping children rather than abortion. We help disabled fulfill their purpose in life.

The Noël Foundation also helps homeless and poor families with transitional assistance. We aid U.S. military families with counseling, education and economic opportunities.

We recognize that the greatest impoverishment engulfing the world is the "poverty of faith, hope and love" irrespective of one’s economic situation. Inspired by Psalm 23, we hope to build a chapel-conservatory as a reconciliation retreat to help restore the souls of all seekers. People request prayers and healing support through the foundation for loved ones. Whether addressing physical, material or spiritual needs, The Noël Foundation endeavors to help by God’s amazing grace and your caring support.
